Romans 2:13
For it is not merely hearing the Law that makes one righteous before God, but it is the doers of the Law who will be held guiltless and acquitted and justified.
There is an episode of Andy Griffith where a man is always in a hurry. His car breaks down in Mayberry on Sunday. Well,he ends up having dinner with Aunt Bee, Opie, Andy and Barney. After dinner out on the porch Barney says, "You know what I am going to do? I am going home, take a nap and then go see Thelma Lou.". In just a few seconds he repeats what he is going to do. Then still sitting in the same chair all relaxed he says again, "You know what I am going to do? I am going home, take a nap and then go see Thelma Lou.". Well, the man who is always in a hurry says, "Just do it, just do it!".
We can know what needs done, but if that's all we do is just know then it will never get done.
We can talk about doing something, but just talking about doing something will never get it done.
Planning to get something done, if that's all we do, will never get anything done.
Hearing how to live and work for Jesus, if that is all we do, we will never really live for HIM.
Thinking about working for the kingdom of God, if that is all we do, we will never get work done for the kingdom.
Talking about all the things we are going to do for people and God's kingdom, if that's all we do ,we will not get much if anything done.
It is the doers that make a good difference.
It is the doers that God will reward with His blessings .
It is the doers that will hear, well done.
